• Skills for College Success at CCC

How do I choose a major or a career? What if I have a crisis that affects my studies? How do I access campus resources?

    Skills for College Success

If you need guidance for educational or personal issues, CCC offers professional counselors to provide assistance. Counselors at CCC help you develop career goals and design a path of education or training to help you reach those goals.

Short-term personal counseling and referrals to community resources are provided to students to help identify and overcome barriers that are interfering with success. Some of the topics a college counselor may be able to help with include:

    • Career exploration
    • Choosing a college major
    • Time and stress management
    • Personal issues impacting success
    • Accessing campus resources
    • Overcoming barriers to learning

Personal and Career counseling appointments are available by contacting the Student Success Center, Oregon City campus, at 503-594-3475. For Harmony campus appointments call 503-594-0623.

    College Success Courses

CCC counselors also teach many Human Development elective courses that focus on personal growth related to success, both in college and in life.

Check the current CCC Schedule of Classes for Human Development courses being offered this term. Classes start throughout the term and many are offered in weekend or online format.
