• The Federal Work-Study Process

    Students must follow all of these steps to participate:

    1. Complete the FAFSA and the CCC Financial Aid application 
    2. Attend a mandatory Federal Work Study orientation (request an invitation at workstudy@clackamas.edu )
    3. Receive an application and hiring instructions at the Orientation. At the orientation students are instructed how to:
      • Search for FWS position at HR employment website
      • Apply for a position by completing and submitting the specific HR job posting application online
      • Meet with supervisor for interview
      • If hiring agreement is made, student and supervisor complete Authorization Form indicating the requested funding for the year
      • Set appointment with FWS Coordinator to have funding placed
      • On first day of work, report to HR for hiring paperwork
    4. Enter hours worked on myClackamas time entry page daily
    5. Track hours worked/earnings against aggregate award and submit time entry by the 19th of each month

Metro Grant Supports Student Transportation Options

Clackamas Community College will share in $2.1 million in federal grant awards from Metro aimed at making it easier for area residents to walk, bike, take transit and share rides. CCC will receive $85,000 from the Regional Travel Options grant to support the Student Transportation Initiative that will help students find new transportation options to get to class. Full Story
