Clackamas Rep presents ‘Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery’

OREGON CITY – In Clackamas Repertory Theatre’s next production, hilarity is afoot as five actors portray 40+ characters in Ken Ludwig’s fast-paced comedy “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.”

“If you liked ‘The 39 Steps,’ a fast-paced farce we presented a few seasons back, then you’ll love this rendition of Sherlock’s ‘Baskerville,’” Director David Smith-English said. “It’s a multimedia delight filled with hilarious repartee, quick costume and character changes, and beautiful custom-designed projections.”

Baskerville features John San Nicolas as Sherlock Holmes. Dennis Kelly plays the role of Dr. John Watson. Mark Schwahn, Alex Fox and Jayne Stevens round out the cast — and each play about 20 different characters.

The Clackamas Repertory Theatre production team includes Shenekah Telles, costumer; Annie Rimmer-Weeks and Orie Weeks, projection and sound designers; Christopher Whitten, scenic and lighting designer; and Jennifer Whitten.

The production runs June 29-July 23 at Clackamas Community College’s Osterman Theatre, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City. Performances take place Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinees. To purchase tickets, visit or call 503-594-6047.

The July 7, 14 and 21 performances include interactive post-show talkback sessions with the cast and director. Clackamas Rep will also celebrate opening night with a champagne and dessert reception in the lobby following the June 30 performance.
