OREGON CITY – Driven by a need to create, Portland-based artist Ben Gilbert compiled a collection of nearly 200 drawings. ‟Indigo, Olive and Brick Red,” is an exhibition of a sampling of his drawings. The exhibition will be on display at Clackamas Community College, Nov. 13 through Dec. 8.

A self-taught artist, Gilbert uses crayon on cardboard to record his daily life. His abstract work explores landscapes, figures and ideas. The public is invited to an artist reception, Nov. 15, 3:30-4:30 p.m., in CCC’s Pauling Gallery to hear Gilbert speak about his work.

The Pauling Gallery is located in the Pauling Center on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave. The gallery is open from Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 pm., and admittance is free. For further information, contract Kate Simmons at 503-594-3032 or kates@clackamas.edu.
