In our Emergency Medical Technology program, students prepare for exciting, in demand health career opportunities through interactive classrooms and hands-on work.

Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) provide immediate care to critically ill or injured people on-scene and provide transportation to hospitals, care facilities and residences. The ability to work under pressure in challenging environments, think critically to make difficult decisions independently and accurately perform life-saving skills are essential to success in this exciting career. At Clackamas Community College, students prepare through interactive classroom learning and hands-on clinical experiences.

Current Healthcare Provider level CPR (AHA or ASHI) are required; criminal history background check, proof of immunization, and students will be asked to take a drug test as arranged by the department.
