    Academic Advisors can help you to develop skills that support your progress at CCC by providing you with a central place to access information on beneficial resources, help you create education plans that will meet your degree requirements, assist you in maintaining satisfactory academic progress (SAP), provide general college policy information, and can assist you in successfully transferring your credits to other institutions.

    Academic Advising

    Effective advising requires that the student and advisor contribute equally to the educational planning process. Advisors assist you in clarifying your educational and personal goals and help create detailed plans for you meet these goals. Students are strongly encouraged to communicate with an advisor regularly for continued academic success. If you are a new or transfer student at CCC please attend a New Student Advising Session.

  • Appointments

    We offer drop-in appointments and scheduled appointments. Drop-ins are shorter in duration and are on a first-come-first-served basis. Scheduling an appointment with an advisor is the best way to ensure all of your questions are answered. The following table may help you determine your needs in an advising session. You can also send along quick questions to an advisor by email.
