The Lady Cougars have had a history of excellence, both academically and athletically, competing in the Northwest Athletic Conference.
Over the last 14 years, the Lady Cougars have claimed seven Southern Region Championships, won an average of 23 games per year, have a winning percentage of 75 percent over that span, and have qualified for the NWAC Women's Championship Tournament in 13 out of the last 14 years.
In 2004, the Cougars captured their first NWAC Tournament Championship and followed with a third-place finish in 2005, a sixth-place finish in 2009, a third-place finish in 2010, seventh-place finishes in 2011 and 2014, a fifth-place finish in 2012 and finished second of 35 teams in 2013. Since joining the NWAC (formerly NWAACC) in 1984, the Lady Cougars have won 11 Southern Region titles, averaged 20 wins per year and have qualified for post-season play in 25 of the 28 years.
The Lady Cougars pride ourselves in our academics, winning games and helping student-athletes move on to four-year institutions. In the past 10 years, 85 percent of the players who have played both their freshman and sophomore seasons here at CCC have completed their associates degree.
Athletic opportunities: Former players have moved on to play at University of Oregon, Western Oregon, Eastern Oregon, Southern Oregon, Chico State, Portland State, Eastern Washington, Sacramento State University, Willamette, Lewis & Clark, Concordia, Minot State (N.D.), Regis (Colo.), Wagner (N.Y.), Vanguard (Cali.) and many more.
