Dean Wright

Program: Education

When Dean Wright graduated from high school in Milwaukie, he had already earned 26 college credits through Advanced College Credit at Clackamas Community College. He followed in his mom’s footsteps in deciding to start at Clackamas Community College before transferring to a four-year school.

Dean is actively involved in student government. He works with the ASG public affairs and promotions teams. He’s also the chief cheerleader at CCC and plays Cougie, the CCC mascot, at college events. Although Cougie doesn’t talk, Dean gives a big shout out for CCC when he’s not dressed as the CCC mascot. He has a lot of positive things to share with legislators, students and parents:  “CCC was the best choice for me. The teachers are amazing. They give help when you need it and want you to succeed!”

Dean is a CCC scholarship recipient studying science and education. He plans to transfer from Clackamas to Western Oregon University to earn a teaching degree as well as a master’s degree in science and middle school education. His goal is to travel the world and teach middle school science.

Go Cougie!
