CCC Wins 9th NWAACC Softball Title

Clackamas Community College claimed its ninth NWAACC softball championship by sweeping the Lower Columbia Lady Devils 6-5 and 7-6 in the double-elimination championship round last week.

Following a 3-2 loss to Mt. Hood early in the tournament, #5 seeded CCC battled through the next six contests in loser out elimination games to reach the title match Wednesday afternoon at Portland’s Delta Park.

CCC defeated Pierce 6-5, Treasure Valley 9-0 and Douglas 6-4 , followed with wins over Bellevue 5-4 while avenging the loss to Mt. Hood with a 20-6 pounding of the Saints.

Congratulations to players and coaches! Good job!
