‘Professor Hammer’ on Bomber Seats and Lightening Holes

 Award-winning metal worker Ron “Professor Hammer” Covell returns to Clackamas Community College with a seminar focusing on “Bomber Seats, Lightening Holes and Beyond.” The seminar takes place in the CCC Automotive Department on Monday, March 18, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Covell is one of the best known professionals in his field. His work on street rods and custom motorcycles has won many awards and has been featured in many magazine articles around the globe. He is in the Grand National Roadster Show Hall of Fame, which honors those who have made significant contributions to the hot rod and custom car field. His "Professor Hammer’s Metalworking Tips" has been a popular feature of Street Rodder Magazine since 1995.

Metro Grant Supports Student Transportation Options

Clackamas Community College will share in $2.1 million in federal grant awards from Metro aimed at making it easier for area residents to walk, bike, take transit and share rides. CCC will receive $85,000 from the Regional Travel Options grant to support the Student Transportation Initiative that will help students find new transportation options to get to class. Full Story
