Scholarship Open Enrollment Begins
Scholarship open enrollment begins Jan. 1 for the 2014-15 school year. CCC scholarship applications will be available online at www.clackamas.edu/Scholarships/. Call Darcie Iven for more information at 503-594-3421 or email scholarships@clackamas.edu.

New Years Day Holiday
CCC will be closed in observance of the New Years Day holiday.

January 6
Winter Term Begins
Winter term classes begin at Clackamas Community College.

January 8
Auditions for Winter Term Mainstage Production
Auditions for CCC Theatre Department’s winter term mainstage production are from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Osterman Theatre. Auditions are open to the community. Prepare a one-minute monologue or read from the script. For more information call 503-594-3153 or visit www.TheatreCCC.org.

Chrysalis: Women Writers
Local author Pat Lichen guides women writers of all levels through discussions of their work. Chrysalis meets from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays in the Literary Arts Center, Room 220 in Rook Hall. For information, call 503-594-3254.

Auditions for Winter Term Student Performance Showcase
Auditions for CCC Theatre Arts Department’s winter term Student Performance Showcase are scheduled for from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Osterman Theatre. Orchard Care Seminar “Think Spring”
Learn about important winter care of fruit-bearing plants. This half-day Saturday seminar features local experts covering a variety of fruit growing techniques. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
CCC will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

January 21
Scholarship Kickoff
The Scholarship Kickoff session provides information about the new CCC scholarship application, how to write a winning essay, and how to search for external scholarships. No cost to attend. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the McLoughlin Auditorium.

January 24
Careers in Apprenticeship Trades Open House
CCC’s Wilsonville campus is hosting a Careers in Apprenticeship Trades Open House for new students. Participants will learn about CCC programs that lead to careers in trades as well as apprenticeship opportunities. Open to current students, veterans, teachers, parents and high school students. Event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. No cost to attend. CCC’s Wilsonville Campus, 29353 SW Town Center Loop East. Please RSVP to Angie Sandercock at angies@clackamas.edu or 503-594-0944.

CRT’s Breakaway Series Presents ‘The Call’

Clackamas Repertory Theatre continues its sixth annual, semistaged contemporary play series, “Breakaway,” with performances of “The Call” on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22. The featured plays are by American playwrights and all are area premieres.  Full Story

Metro Grant Supports Student Transportation Options

Clackamas Community College will share in $2.1 million in federal grant awards from Metro aimed at making it easier for area residents to walk, bike, take transit and share rides. CCC will receive $85,000 from the Regional Travel Options grant to support the Student Transportation Initiative that will help students find new transportation options to get to class. Full Story
