CCC Wilsonville Hosts Careers in Apprenticeship Trades Open House

OREGON CITY - Clackamas Community College in Wilsonville will host a Careers in Apprenticeship Trades Open House for new students on Friday, Jan. 24.

The Open House runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at CCC's Wilsonville Training Center and is open to current students, veterans, teachers, parents and high school students. Through workshops and exhibits, participants can learn about CCC programs that lead to careers in the trades. There is no cost to attend the Careers in Apprenticeship Trades Open House. The following trades will be represented at the open house:

·         Apprenticeships: electrical (line, inside and limited energy) and plumbing

·         Businesses: PGE (Portland General Electric) and PacifiCorp

·         CCC departments: Welding, Financial Aid and Educational Partnerships

·         State agencies: Department of Community College and Workforce Development

The Wilsonville Training Center is located at 29353 Town Center Loop E. in Wilsonville. Metro Grant Supports Student Transportation Options

Clackamas Community College will share in $2.1 million in federal grant awards from Metro aimed at making it easier for area residents to walk, bike, take transit and share rides. CCC will receive $85,000 from the Regional Travel Options grant to support the Student Transportation Initiative that will help students find new transportation options to get to class. Full Story

Flamenco Performance at CCC on March 4

The Tablao de Rosas flamenco group will perform at Clackamas Community College on Wednesday, March 4, at noon in the Gregory Forum. The performance is free and open to the public.  Full Story
