 Huckestein Named VP of College Services

OREGON CITY - Jim Huckestein has been named the vice president of College Services at Clackamas Community College. The college Board of Education approved the hire at its January meeting.

Huckestein has 22 years' experience in community colleges. He served as the vice president of Finance and Operations at Linn-Benton Community College for the past six years where his responsibilities included auxiliary services, institutional research, communications services and facilities.

He served as a member of the evaluation team for the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities accreditation visits. Huckestein also worked with the LBCC Foundation in a variety of capacities.

Huckestein earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and an MBA at Portland State University. He will begin work at CCC on Monday, Feb. 3.

Clackamas Repertory Theatre’s ‘Breakaway Series’ Begins January 24

Clackamas Repertory Theatre begins its sixth annual semi-staged contemporary play series, "Breakaway," on Saturday, Jan. 24. The series, formerly called Sundays at Three, now includes a Saturday evening performance as well as a Sunday matinee. CCC Instructor Receives Governor’s Award for Innovation

Clackamas Community College instructor Andy Mingo received the Governor’s Award for Innovation this week for his work educating students for careers in the rapidly growing film industry in Oregon. Gov. John Kitzhaber presented the award for “Innovation in Education” at the Oregon Film & Television Office’s annual awards event.  Full Story
