Winter 2014 Health Care Professional Development Courses at CCC

Clackamas Community College offers continuing education courses for health care professionals. Courses are designed to provide participants relevant trainings that use the latest technology. Winter term's offerings include:

  • Breath Alcohol Testing Certification-Feb. 19 and 21 or 22. Learn the federal rules and regulations, terminology, steps, and perform seven accurate mock collections. 1.0 CEU (10 hours). Cost is $225.
  • Medical Assistant Certification Exam Preparation - Wednesdays, March 5 through 26, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Meet the new Meaningful Use Compliance requirements of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This unique short course prepares trained medical assistants who do not have a credential to sit for a national exam. Instructor consent required. The class includes a combination of hands-on class practice with instructor feedback, live classroom, and online work. 1.2 CEUs (12 hours). Cost is $130 plus book.
  • DOT Urine Collection Testing Certification - Feb.28 and March 1. Learn federal rules and regulations, procedures, terminology, form completion and perform five accurate mock collections. .9 CEU (9 hours). Cost is $170.

All courses take place at the Harmony Community Campus at 7738 S.E. Harmony Road. Please note that there is an additional $20 college service fee for students registering for one or more credits.

Metro Grant Supports ELC Restoration

The Environmental Learning Center is one of 27 projects that will benefit from Metro’s Nature in Neighborhoods grant program. Metro recently awarded an $868,342 grant to fund site restoration at the Clackamas Community College’s ELC on the Oregon City campus. Full Story
