Article by: Janet Paulson

OREGON CITY - Clackamas Community College Wilsonville Campus presents, "Pastel Pleasures," the work of Oregon pastel artists Irene Van Dusen and Wendy Ware. The show opens March 17 and runs through May 16 in the main lobby.

Irene Van Dusen is a native Oregonian who draws inspiration from the beauty of the state. Van Dusen didn't seriously pursue her art until she was close to retirement. She has earned multiple awards for her painting, and her studio is her home in Albany.

Wendy Ware is a landscape artist and figure painter who resides in Corvallis. She graduated with an art degree from Western Michigan University and worked in graphic design. Ware's work is currently in private collections across the country.

CCC's Wilsonville campus is located at 29353 SW Town Center Loop East, Wilsonville. Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit will also be open on three Saturdays: April 5, April 12 and May 3. The exhibit is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
