Financial Aid: Veterans

Educational Benefits: General Information

If you are a veteran, member of the Reserves or National Guard, and plan to take classes, you may be eligible for educational benefits through the Veterans' Administration. Benefits may also be available to eligible spouses and/or children of veterans. Check your eligibility status by calling 1-800-827-1000.

How are tuition and fees paid whether or not Veterans Benefits are received in a timely manner?

Tuition and fees are the student's responsibility. Normally, a monthly check is issued from the Veterans Department.

How to apply for educational benefits at Clackamas Community College

Contact the schools Veteran's Services Coordinator to get the necessary paperwork.

Student work-study through the Department of Veterans' Affairs

The pay is minimum wage But NO taxes are deducted! You may work at VA offices, Outreach services, VA medical facilities, National Cemetery System Offices, etc. If you are attending 3/4 time or more you are eligible. Contact the Veterans' Administration at 1-888-442-4551 or 1-800-827-1000.
