Environmental Learning Center Hosts Stewardship Day

Volunteers are needed to take part in Stewardship Saturday at the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) at CCC. Stewardship Saturday will take place Saturday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is supported by the Greater Oregon City Watershed Council.

Stewardship Saturday at the ELC will include removal of invasive species to help protect the watershed and improve site conditions. The ELC is the site of the headwaters of Newell Creek.

Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and to try the ELC’s new self-guided tour. A tour of Newell Canyon will begin at 1 p.m.
