CCC: News Releases
CCC’s first four students in the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education program graduated June 1 with bachelors’ degrees from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). The students were co-enrolled at both Clackamas Community College (CCC) and OHSU School of Nursing.
OCNE is a partnership of nursing programs that includes OHSU School of Nursing and eight community colleges in Oregon, including Clackamas Community College. The schools have developed a shared nursing curriculum that is taught on all campuses. Students have dual enrollment with their community college’s nursing program and OHSU.
After completing coursework for an associate’s degree, students have the option to smoothly transition to OHSU and complete a final year of coursework to earn a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing. The 2010 OHSU nursing graduates from CCC are Adrienne Young, Claudia Martinez-Modesto, Scott Strong and Heather Sue Rhodes.
