SBDC Instructor Thomas Jones Named ‘State Star’

CCC business adviser and small business management instructor Dr. Thomas Jones has been named the Oregon Small Business Development Center Network’s 2010 State Star Award winner. Thomas will be honored at a reception at the Association of Small Business Development Centers Annual conference in San Antonio on Sept. 24.

Jones, an instructor in CCC’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), is an award-winning educator and consultant who has gained recognition as a futurist researcher and keynote speaker. He has served more than 2,000 small businesses since 1986 and is the curriculum developer and lead instructor for the Oregon SBDC Network’s Veterans Services and Assistance project.

Jones was nominated for the State Star award by his co-workers at CCC and selected by a panel of prior State Star award recipients.
