Two Openings on CCC Budget Committee

The Clackamas Community College budget committee is seeking two new citizen representatives for zones four and seven. The budget committee has a representative for each of the college’s seven zones. Applications for the openings are due Oct. 9 and interviews will take place in late October.

Zone four covers: Oregon City, a small part of West Linn, and the rural south Oregon City area. Zone seven covers: a small part of Oregon City, Molalla, and the rural areas of Canby, Canby and Molalla. To determine the zone in which you reside, contact the County Elections Division (www.clackamas.us/elections).

Budget committee members are appointed by the board and serve for three years. The committee is responsible for reviewing, revising, and approving the college’s budget; receives the budget message from the Budget Officer; and provides an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the budget (ORS 294.435). The Board of Education is legally responsible for adopting the budget approved by the Budget Committee.
