June 2, 9 Chrysalis: Women Writers Local author Pat Lichen guides women writers of all levels through discussions of their work. Chrysalis meets from noon to 2 p.m. in the Literary Arts Center, Room 220 in Rook Hall. For information, call 503-657-6958, ext. 2220. June 5 Festival Latino CCC hosts the second annual Festival Latino from noon to 4 p.m. in the Gregory Forum. The event includes fun for children, folk dancing, college tours, guest speakers and light refreshments. All events are free and open to the public. June 6 Sundays at Three: New Play Reading Series The Clackamas Repertory Theatre introduces a new play-reading series featuring contemporary American plays not yet produced in the Portland area. On June 6 “The Food Chain,” a comedy/drama by Nicky Silver, will be read in the Osterman Theatre at 3 p.m. A talkback will follow the reading. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door or online at www.clackamasrep.org. June 10 GED and Adult High School Diploma Graduation The graduation ceremonies for GED and adult high school diploma recipients will take place at 7 p.m. in the Randall Gymnasium. June 11 CCC 2010 Degree and Certificate Graduation Ceremonies Graduation ceremonies for degree and certificate recipients will take place at 7 p.m. in the Randall Gymnasium. June 26 Yellow Ribbon Career and Benefit Fair Veterans of all eras and military family members are invited to the Yellow Ribbon Career and Benefit Fair at CCC from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Veteran-friendly employers, service providers, and education and training representatives will participate. The event is jointly sponsored by the Sen. Ron Wyden, the Oregon National Guard, Hire Oregon Vets, WorkSource Clackamas and CCC. For information call Greg Myers at 503-594-344
