With a large yard or even a balcony, growing food for the family can be easy. CCC Horticulture Department is offering a spring workshop “Growing for Family.” “Growing for Family” with Josh Volk covers simple systems for growing vegetables, including composting, bed preparation, planting, weeding and harvest. The course meets Thursdays, May 13, 21 and 27, from 6 to 8:50 p.m. Cost $45.
