CCC: News Releases
Clackamas Community College presents an array of concerts each spring ranging from jazz to classical to pop. Here is the spring concert schedule:
• May 28-29, Vocal Jazz Night Spring Concert CCC’s vocal jazz students and alumni share their music. May 28 features the Instrumental Jazz Ensemble and guests. On May 29, students from CCC’s Mainstream and Molalla High School perform. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. in the Niemeyer Center’s LeRoy Anderson Room. Admission is $5.
• June 2, CCC Concert Band and Portland State University Concert Band and Wind Symphony Joint Concert David Mills directs the CCC concert band, and Ed Higgins directs the PSU concert band. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Portland State University’s Smith Memorial Student Union Ballroom. Admission is free.
• June 3, CCC Concert Band and Instrumental Jazz Night Clackamas jazz students join the instrumental jazz students for an evening of music. Tom Wakeling directs the jazz ensemble, and Dave Mills directs the concert band. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in Niemeyer Center, N-147. Admission is $5.
• June 7, CCC Chamber Choir and Unistus Spring Concert Enjoy a concert with Estonian dancers, chamber choir and Gary Nelson’s chamber ensemble. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in Niemeyer Center, N-119. Admission is $5.
• June 8, Chamber Ensemble Spring Concert The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Niemeyer Center, room N-147. Director Gary Nelson directs as student groups perform various ensembles for vocal, string and brass. Free.
