CCC: News Releases
CCC Board of Education chairwoman and Metro Councilor Carlotta Collette is a featured speaker during The Sustainability Project @ CCC. Her lecture, “Sustainable Malmo,” will take place on Thursday, May 28, from noon to 1 p.m. in the McLoughlin Theater at CCC.
Sustainable Malmo tells the story of a former brown field industrial harbor and land fill converted into a sustainable ecovillage in Sweden. Using onsite renewable energy, with a focus on biodiversity, Malmo is considered one of the top two or three sustainability models in the world.
The Sustainability Project at @ CCC features authors, scientists, professors and experts. Activities began in April and conclude in June with the Clackamas Green Screen Film Festival. All events are free and open to the public.
