CCC: News ReleasesOSU and CCC Join in Degree Partnership ProgramFri, 19 Feb 2010 7:10:39 GMT A new partnership with Oregon State University allows Clackamas Community College students to streamline the process to achieving a bachelor’s degree. The Degree Partnership Program, which launched in December, allows students to be jointly admitted and enrolled at both CCC and OSU, saving students thousands of dollars and providing a seamless pathway toward degree completion. The OSU Degree Partnership Program (DPP) is one of three dual enrollment programs offered at CCC. Clackamas has a long-standing dual enrollment program with Portland State and recently finalized a degree partnership program with Oregon Institute of Technology. Students in the OSU/CCC DPP have access to classes, services and college facilities at both campuses. Benefits of the DPP include lower tuition costs, one application and application fee, coordinated financial aid for qualified students, flexible scheduling with more course options, and a smoother transition from community college to university. Students in the Degree Partnership Program save nearly $5,000 in tuition costs while completing a bachelor’s degree, according to OSU research. OSU is the state’s largest research university with an enrollment of almost 22,000 students. The CCC/OSU partnership is the latest of 13 partnerships OSU has with Oregon community colleges.
