CCC: News Releases
Phillip King has been named the dean of the Academic Foundations and Connections at Clackamas Community College. The CCC Board of Education approved the hire at its regular August meeting.
King has served as the director of Enrollment, Assessment and Retention Management for the College of Arts and Science at Florida International University (FIU) in Miami since 2008. He was senior associate registrar at FIU prior to that. His career began at Mount Hood Community College, where he served as director of Aquatics and Recreation.
King earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Portland State University. He is a doctoral candidate at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
CCC’s Academic Foundations and Connections Division (AFAC) combines student and enrollment services with math, English and skills development to create supportive pathways for student success.
