February 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25 CCC Financial Aid Advising Sessions Advising sessions for financial aid are held Mondays and Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. in Rook Hall at the Oregon City campus. February 1, 8, 15, 22 Job Seeker Information Sessions Free job seeker information sessions are held each Monday at Clackamas Community College. The sessions, sponsored by Workforce Development Services at the college, take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Barlow Hall 240. February 6 & 7 Softball Pitching Clinic Former CCC pitcher Janelle Cristofaro offers instruction on the fundamentals of pitching for girls ages 8 to 13. The clinic will help girls develop the pitching motion through instruction and individual feedback. The clinic meets from 10 a.m. to noon both days and the cost is $35. February 3, 10, 17, 24 Chrysalis: Women Writers Local author Pat Lichen guides women writers of all levels through discussions of their work. February 6 Fruit Tree Pruning Demonstrations and practice of pruning methods appropriate for a variety of fruit trees. Class is from 9 to 11:50 a.m. at the Home Orchard Society Arboretum at CCC. The class is cosponsored by the Home Orchard Society. Fee is $10. February 6 & 7 18th Annual Softball Hitting Clinic Clackamas softball coaches and area high school coaches provide instruction in the fundamentals of bunting, slapping and hitting for girls ages 11 to 18 years old. Girls sign up for an individual three-hour session. Session I: Saturday, Feb. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. Session II: Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. Session III: Sunday, Feb. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon. Feb. 11 & 18 Softball Catching Clinic Catching clinic is for girls ages 11 to 18 years old. The clinic meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m. both days, and the cost is $35 for both sessions. February 15 Oregon Transfer Day More than 30 four-year colleges and universities will visit CCC for the annual Oregon Transfer Day. Representatives from the colleges and universities will be in the Gregory Forum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to tell students about transfer options. February 19 & 26 & March 5 Herbal Products This workshop provides instruction in making herbal teas, skin salve and tincture, infused oil, vinegar and syrup. Workshop is from 8 a.m. to noon in Clairmont, room 118. Fee is $97. February 20 Fruit Tree Grafting These workshops (two beginning and one intermediate) are designed to provide hands-on experience for grafting fruit trees. Workshops take place in Clairmont, room 117. February 25 Clackamas County Regional Skills Contest High school students from around the county compete in subjects ranging from accounting to building construction in this daylong event that includes a career fair in the gym at Randall Hall. February 25 - 28 & March 4 - 7 Winter Term Mainstage Production: The Haunting of Grayson Manor CCC's Theater Arts Department presents the world premier of “The Haunting of Grayson Manor” by Gregory Neil Forbes in eight performances beginning Thursday, Feb. 25. Shows are scheduled Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. in the Osterman Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for youth and seniors.
