Study Abroad

Expand your horizons and immerse yourself in a different culture through a study abroad trip at CCC. Study abroad programs at CCC take learning beyond the classroom, offering memorable experiences and one-of-a-kind opportunities to explore a subject and enrich your education. You can even earn college credit while you travel!

Our goal is to facilitate quality global learning experiences for our college community. CCC supports international travel for learning that strengthens the fulfillment of the college’s mission which includes providing high-quality education and training that is adaptable to changing needs while valuing diversity, empathy and respect. Our study abroad student learning outcomes further support this mission by providing the following:

  • Experiences of different cultures and perspectives
  • Exploration of opportunities for cultural exchange
  • Communication to the college community and beyond about globalization and its effects.

Study Abroad in Costa Rica (June 16-24, 2024)

Trip highlights include:

  • Travel coast to coast
  • Canopy tours
  • Boat rides through canals
  • Rainforest excursions
  • Arenal Volcano
  • Snorkeling
  • Tortuguero
  • Sarapiqui Region
  • Arenal Region
  • Guanacaste

The cost is $4000 (tuition not included), and if you register before May 31, you can receive a $200 discount.
Includes airfare, accommodations, EF tours program fees, meals, course-related excursions and travel insurance.

To participate, you must register for one or more of the following courses:

  • Z-203, General Zoology (four credits)
  • BI-160L, Bird ID and Taxonomy (four credits)
  • COMM-140, Intercultural Communication (four credits)
  • Or register for "Costa Rica Trip" via Community Education (no credits)

Study Abroad in France (June 15-30, 2024)

Trip highlights include:

  • French language classes at the University of Perpignan
  • Guided city tours and other sightseeing visits in southern France
  • Day trips to Carcassonne, medieval walled city, and Collioure on the Mediterranean coast
  • Three free days in Barcelona at end of trip

The cost is approximately $4500 (CCC tuition not included).

Includes airfare, accommodations, French university program fees, some meals, program cultural excursions, travel and medical insurance.

To participate, register for one or more of the following courses:

  • FR 103 (four credits)
  • FR 203 (four credits)
  • ENG 226 (four credits)
  • Or register for "France Study Abroad" via Community Education (no credits)
