    We have installed a new Career Center located in our Community Center building on the Oregon City campus. In an effort to provide you with career exploration tools and assist with your employment goals we have developed a comprehensive list of resources and referral partners. Please use the following prompts to help you determine which service may be of the most help. You may self-refer using our online referral links.

  • Choosing the Right Service

    Career Exploration
    • Do you have no idea which career to pursue? Do you have barriers to employment ( i.e. injury, change of career,  job outsourced, ex-offender)?  Then you may be a good candidate for seeing one of our Career Counselors. Please call us at 503-594-6333 for more information.
    • Are you here to explore a specific career you have in mind? Do you already know what type of career you are interested in? Are you unsure why types of skills and schooling is required to pursue the career of your interest? We encourage you to take the CIS Career Inventory System Assessments and explore careers in ONET & OLMIS. You can walk in to the Career Center at our Oregon City Campus or use the following link to be contacted for an appointment..
    • Are you on track with your career of choice, but find you need additional support to complete your program or find a job in your field?.
    Career Change/Skills Courses
    • HD 140 our Online career exploration course may be a great choice for you:
      • HD-140 Career Exploration 1-3 credits, Fall/Winter/Spring
        Students use information about themselves (values, interests, personality and skills) and information about the world of work (career and industries) to make long term career decisions.
    •  Life and Career Options Program - This program consists of 2 co-requisite courses, HD 202 Life Transitions and HD 208 Career and Life Planning. These are taken during the same term as an integrated learning experience. Our target populations are those who have traditionally been underserved in higher education. The classes focus on supporting students through major life transition while planning for the future. We screen for individuals who will thrive with structured support and who are eager to succeed in college.  LCOP may be a good fit for you if you are:
      • an adult who is coming to college for the first time or after significant time away from school
      • searching for a new career direction involving additional training or education and
      • a single custodial parent, displaced homemaker, dislocated/injured worker, or working toward greater self-sufficiency for yourself and your family.
    • When was the last time you created or updated your resume? Are you aware of the current trends in networking, resume writing and interviewing? We have ready-made guides and resources waiting for you in our career center! If you would like to be contacted by our Career services center please fill out the following.
    • Are you currently enrolled in one of our career technical programs? If so you may be eligible for help from the CASE Career Coaches on campus.

    Are you here to look for a new job? Need to update your resume and cover letter? Seeking guidance for how and where to find a job? We can help you create an individual profile in College Central Network, sign up to join Job Club, refer you to other on campus resources or schedule a one-on-one appointment with our Career Services Coordinator. .

    Unsure of what college degree to pursue? Are you curious about various careers and which one is right for you? The career center has tools to help you with that decision process.     Interview Stream

    Do you have a job interview coming up? Practice makes perfect and we have the perfect solution—Interview Stream. Interview Stream is the leading practice interview system that allows job seekers the opportunity to see and hear themselves online. Using a webcam, you will be able to simulate job interviews by responding to interview questions, practicing both your verbal and non-verbal communication skills. The recorded interview will be immediately emailed to your counselor, career coach or instructor to asses and provide feedback. Don’t have a webcam? No problem.
