• Financial Aid and Scholarships at CCC 

    Clackamas Community College remains one of the best educational values in the Northwest. Our College Code is 004878.

    Our tuition and fees are a fraction of student costs at four-year schools. And if you need assistance, financial aid can play a big role in helping you achieve your educational goals. Scholarships, grants, loans, work-study,

    The financial aid process may take up to12 weeks. All CCC required documentation must be submitted by the recommended deadline to ensure funding for that term.

    • January 5, 2015: Spring Term Recommended Deadline for Financial Aid paperwork.

    Students who have attended other colleges should have their official transcripts sent to CCC for evaluation.

      Transferring credits can help you:

    • Finish your degree quicker
    • Save grant funds for continuing your education beyond CCC
    • Save money by not taking unneeded courses
    • Keep student loan borrowing to a minimum

     Latest News and Updates from the Department of Education:

    • Effective July 1, 2013, the law limits the benefits of the Direct Loan subsidy to an aggregated period of no more than 150% of program length for new borrowers.
    •  As of July 1, 2012, the Ability-to-Benefit is no longer applicable to financial aid. In order to receive financial aid, students must now have a High School Diploma, GED, or meet the requirement for the completion of home schooling (Note: Modified High School Diploma is not eligible for financial aid)
    • The Department of Education is recommending that students link to the IRS when completing their FAFSA online.
    • Life Time Eligibility of Pell is at 600%. This means if you are attending school full time, you are eligible up to 6 years of Pell. If you have been a Pell Grant recipient prior years, this change may affect you.

    Important Dates and Latest News at CCC:

    • January 1, 2015: Apply for 2015-2016 Financial Aid (www.fafsa.gov).
    • CCC will begin processing 2015-2016 FAFSA information the week of March 9th.  Students should not submit any documents or forms until they receive an email requesting information.

Bond Citizen Oversight Committee to Meet

The initial meeting of the Bond Projects Citizen Oversight Committee will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at Clackamas Community College. The committee will provide oversight to the implementation of ballot measure 3-447, approved by voters in November.  Full Story

Board Resolution Authorizes Bond Sale

The Board of Education at its April meeting passed a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds to finance capital construction at Clackamas Community College. Voters in the district in November approved a $90 million bond measure to update and modernize college facilities. Full Story
