Popular Portland actor Leif Norby takes the stage for Clackamas Repertory Theatre’s (CRT) Northwest premiere of “The Ladies Man.” Charles Morey’s loose adaptation of the farce by Georges Feydeau opens July 9 at CCC's Osterman Theatre and runs through July 25. The preview is on July 8.
Norby plays the role of Dr. Hecule Molineaux, or the “Ladies Man.” Over the past year, Norby was seen in Portland Center Stage hits “Ragtime” and “The 39 Steps.” He has appeared many times at Broadway Rose, Artists Repertory Theatre, Profile Theatre and Lakewood. Leif has received three Portland Drama Critics Circle awards for performances in “Grace” at Third Rail, and “Big River” and “I DO! I DO!” at the Musical Company.
Elizabeth Huffman, artistic director of Classic Greek Theatre of Oregon, is guest director of the “The Ladies Man.” Huffman has extensive classical theater acting and directing credits in Los Angeles and has taught specialized workshops on classical theater styles in Los Angeles, New York, London, Germany.
“The Ladies Man” opens Friday July 9 and runs through July 25. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30. Tickets prices are $22 adults, $18 seniors, and $12 youth. Tickets for the July 8 preview are $15 adults, $13 seniors, and $10 youth.
