    Chyrsalis_Women_Writers_at_CCC_300x200Chyrsalis Women Writers

Chrysalis Women Writers has been meeting for more than 20 years! Founded by CCC instructor Kate Gray, the group is now led by author Pat Lichen. All types of writing are welcome, including short story, poems, novels, memoirs, and plays, and their authors may be new or experienced at the craft.

The group spends ten minutes on each writer's piece. After the piece is read aloud, members comment on its weaknesses and strengths, or focus on areas of concern to the writer. Newcomers are always welcome! We meet Wednesday at noon (12:00 pm) in the Literary Arts Center, Rook 220.

    The Writers' Club

Are you a writer looking to share your work? Or do you like to listen to other people tell stories? Join The Writers' Club to connect with other students interested in writing, sharing ideas, and improving their craft. Any genre of writing is welcome, and anyone interested in writing, reading or language is warmly invited to join!

Every year we host an annual writing contest, publish a book, and participate in a variety of fund raising activities. Last year The Writers Club published a collection of stories and poems called the Bitter Cherry Review. Come visit us to see how you can get involved!

The Writers Club meets every Friday from Noon to 1:00 pm in the Literary Arts Center (Rook 220). For more information, contact The Writers' Club advisor Trevor Dodge.
