    Learning CenterThe Learning Center at Clackamas Community College offers a welcoming environment for students. It is an open and accessible space, and inspires people to engage in lifetime learning. The center is located in the Dye Building on the Oregon City campus and offers a variety of computer labs, tutoring, and academic services. Welcome!

    Spring Term Hours:

    The following hours apply to the Library and Academic Computing Lab, located in the Learning Center. 

    • Monday thru Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • What we offer:

    Math Lab

     Drop-in (no appointment) math tutoring is available in the Learning Center on the Oregon City Campus and at the Harmony campus. In the Math Lab, students can obtain one-to-one help for their math homework and in preparation for exams.     Science Tutoring
    The Science Department offers tutoring in various locations: the Chemistry Help Center, Pauling 165, the Learning Center (with Math Lab), and DeJardin (first floor). The Science Department also maintains an Anatomy & Physiology Study Room. Please call 503-594-3345 for information.
    Writing Center

    The Writing Center offers tutoring services to students at all stages of the writing process. Students may bring in assignments from any course, professional writing tasks, creative writing, resumes, cover letters, and applications. Both appointments and drop-in times are available. The Writing Center is located in the Dye Learning Center. Call 503-594-6275 or go to the Writing Center website for more information or to make an appointment. Writing Center hours are also offered in the Nursing Library at Harmony Campus. Some online assistance is available.       Academic Computing Lab and Computer Tutoring

      The Academic Computing Lab in the Learning Center offers computer access and "drop-in" tutoring support for a variety of needs such as accessing information on Moodle, using Microsoft Office applications, and printing. Business and Computer Science tutors are available during all open lab hours.

      During Spring term, the Academic Computing Lab in the Learning Center will be open the following hours:

      • Monday thru Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
      • Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
      • Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
      The library maintains a collection of books and CDs and offers electronic access to journals, newspapers, and e-books. With a student ID number, databases may be accessed from home. Research assistance, interlibrary loan, and reserve materials are also available. Library hours are posted on the library website at http://depts.clackamas.edu/library/LibraryHours.aspx
      Subject-Area Tutoring
      The Learning Center provides individual and small group tutoring in many subjects. Tutors are available by request, with some drop-in tutoring and some by appointment. Limited services are available at Harmony Campus and Wilsonville in some subjects. To request subject area tutoring, call 503-594-3070.

    Bond Citizen Oversight Committee to Meet

    The initial meeting of the Bond Projects Citizen Oversight Committee will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at Clackamas Community College. The committee will provide oversight to the implementation of ballot measure 3-447, approved by voters in November.  Full Story

    Board Resolution Authorizes Bond Sale

    The Board of Education at its April meeting passed a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds to finance capital construction at Clackamas Community College. Voters in the district in November approved a $90 million bond measure to update and modernize college facilities. Full Story

    Rafael Alvarez, journalist and television writer for “The Wire,” is the keynote speaker at the Compose creative writing conference at Clackamas Community College on Saturday, May 2.  Full Story
