Tutoring Services at CCC
Clackamas Community College offers a welcoming environment for students to get the academic support they need through tutoring, academic services and access to a variety of computer labs. We have several open and friendly spaces that inspire people to
engage in lifelong learning. Welcome!

Tutoring is completely online for winter term
We have lots of options for online tutoring through WCOnline, Zoom, and Smarthinking.
- For online tutoring availability and information on how to get started, visit the Current Tutor Schedule in Google Docs.
- To schedule an appointment or to ask a question through WCOnline, follow the WCOnline Getting Started Directions. Once you make an account in WCOnline, you can find and schedule a tutoring session with a tutor of your choice.
- We also have free online 24/7 tutoring through Smarthinking. To access Smarthinking simply login to your Moodle Account and click on the Smarthinking link on the top right of the Moodle homepage. All students have access to up to seven hours of Smarthinking tutoring per term.

Tutoring Hours

Tutoring Services
Drop-in math tutoring is available in the Dye Learning Center on the Oregon City campus and at the Harmony campus on the third floor in the new Harmony West building. In the Math Labs, students can obtain one-on-one help for their math homework and preparation for exams. Help is available for most math classes taught on campus. We also offer one-on-one scheduled tutoring for pre-100-level math courses at the Oregon City campus. For more information, view our drop-in Math Tutoring schedule.
Oregon City Math Lab Drop-In Tutoring Hours
- Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Harmony Math Lab Drop-In Tutoring Hours
- Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Math labs are closed during CCC holidays and campus closures. We close early during finals week on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and re-open at the beginning of next term.

Chemistry Tutorial Lab Drop-in Hours
- Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Writing Center offers tutoring services to students at all stages of the writing process. Students may bring in assignments from any college class, professional writing tasks, creative writing, resumes, cover letters and scholarship applications.
Both appointment and drop-in times are available. The Writing Center is located in the Dye Learning Center.
Writing Center tutoring is also offered at the Harmony Campus on the third floor of the new Harmony West building.

The Academic Computing Lab in the Learning Center offers computer access and drop-in tutoring support for a variety of needs such as finding information on Moodle, using Microsoft Office and printing. Business and Computer Science tutors are available during all open lab hours. For more information, view our weekly Academic computing lab tutoring schedule.
If you need a quiet space to work on a computer or at a laptop station, the Streeter Open Computing Lab in Streeter Hall room 137 is open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The Streeter Computer Lab also has an adjacent group study room with a projector.

Drop-in accounting tutoring is available in the Academic Computing Lab in the Learning Center. Students can get help with their homework, prepare for exams or get help navigating MyAccountingLab. Help is available for most accounting classes.

CCC provides individual and small-group tutoring in many subjects. Tutors are available by request, with some drop-in tutoring and some by appointment. Limited services are also available on the Harmony and Wilsonville campuses.
To request subject area tutoring, call 503-594-3070, email the tutoring coordinator Josh Aman at tutoring@clackamas.edu or contact your instructor for additional resources specific to your field of study.
Students can also access free online tutoring up to seven hours each term through Smarthinking.
Smarthinking is offered to current Clackamas Community College students as a supplementary tutoring resource for subjects not currently offered in the Dye Learning Center. Students can access up to 7 hours of free Smarthinking tutoring per term.
Subjects covered by Smarthinking: Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Intro Human Anatomy, Physiology, Adobe, Coding, HTML, C++ and more!
Writing, Math, and Science tutoring are also available through Smarthinking to CCC online students or during times when the Dye Learning Center is not available.
Steps to Accessing Your Smarthinking Account
- Go to online.clackamas.edu and login.
- Click on the Smarthinking link on the top right-hand side of your Moodle homepage.
- Smarthinking will open in a new tab (be sure popup blockers are disabled).
- You can chat with a live tutor, schedule a time to chat with a live tutor, or send a tutor an academic question for a later response.
- Students have up to 7 hours each term and can check their remaining time by clicking their name on the top right.
