Music Performances at CCC
Each year, CCC’s Music Department offers dozens of opportunities to hear live music performed by students, faculty, guest artists and ensembles of all sizes. We hope you’ll join us and support our talented students. Support local musicians by attending any one of our events.

Admission is free for CCC students; seat reservation required through Eventbrite. Admission is $5 for the public. (Performers do not need a ticket.)

CCC's Tuesday at 12 Music Series brings guest performances to campus, free to students, the college community, and the public. Join us in the Niemeyer Center (N119) on the Oregon City campus or online on The Clackamas Community College Music Department's YouTube channel.

Clackamas Community College presents Jazz Harmony, a new community concert featuring performances by the CCC Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo.
This free event is designed to bring people together through great music in a welcoming setting. Enjoy an evening of jazz standards, swing, Latin, and more—performed by student musicians in CCC’s vibrant jazz program.
All are welcome. Bring a friend, enjoy the music, and help us grow something new in the Milwaukie community.
Time: 7:00-8:30 p.m.
Location: Harmony West community Room, Clackamas Community College, Harmony Campus
Admission: Free
The Clackamas Wind Ensemble brings live music to the college community in this outdoor concert. Stop by the Community Center Quad on the Oregon City campus to enjoy fresh air and lively performances. Bring a chair or blanket, or grab a spot on the steps! Admission is free. Performance is 4:30-5:30 p.m.
If the concert is rained out on May 8, find us in the Niemeyer Center instead!
Join us on the quad at Clackamas Community College for Clackapalooza, a free outdoor music festival featuring a full afternoon of live performances by bands and songwriters—each with at least one current CCC student.
Running from noon to 5 p.m. on May 29, 2025, this showcase highlights the energy and creativity of our local music community. From indie and rock to funk, folk, and original songwriting, there’s something for everyone.
What makes it even more special? Clackapalooza is planned, promoted, and run entirely by second-year Music Performance and Technology students as part of their spring term curriculum. It’s a serious undertaking—and a great show.
Free and open to the public. Bring your lunch, your friends and your love of live music.

Clackamas Community College’s Spring Term Concert Series opens with a night of jazz featuring performances by the CCC Jazz Combo and Jazz Ensemble.
Enjoy an evening of student-led improvisation, classic charts, and big band sounds. Join us in the Osterman Theatre in the Niemeyer Center on the Oregon City campus. Doors open at 7 p.m., performance at 7:30 p.m.
The Contemporary Music Ensemble and CCC Songwriters take the stage for a night of pop/rock classics and original tunes. Don’t miss a special collaboration with Clackamas Wind Ensemble and the AVE choir for an epic performance of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The Clackamas Wind Ensemble returns as part of CCC’s spring term concert series, with guest soloist Joe Klause performing Henri Tomasi’s Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra.
The program also includes performances by the CCC Guitar Ensemble and a student piano duo, highlighting collaborative work from across the music department’s instrumental programs.
About Joe Klause
Joe Klause is a trumpet player and educator based in Oregon. He serves on the faculty at Clackamas Community College, the University of Portland, Lewis & Clark College, and Reed College. He performs regularly with professional ensembles throughout the Pacific Northwest and is currently acting Second/Associate Principal Trumpet with the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra.
Joe studied at Juilliard Pre-College, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Trumpet Performance from the New England Conservatory, and holds advanced degrees in Dalcroze Eurhythmics and Chamber Music from the Longy School of Music.
