Project Description
The existing outdoor athletic facilities are outdated. There is limited seating for events, limited access to restrooms, no concession stands, and the outdoor facilities are inadequate for current demand. The facilities are at the end of life, do not meet current standards (soccer) and have grass fields that limit the playing time due to wet conditions.
Improvements include replacing the track and adding a synthetic soccer/lacrosse field, baseball and softball facility updates, bleachers, restrooms, and a track storage building/field house.
This project is one of the bond-funded projects at Clackamas Community College. Voters approved a $120-million bond measure in November 2024 to expand opportunities for students and to increase the skilled workforce in the community.
Timeline
- Design: Completed October of 2025
- Groundbreaking: Oct. 27, 3:30 p.m., at the track
- Construction: Fall 2025 - Fall 2026 (various projects will be completed at different time)
- Grand opening: Fall 2026
