Credit for prior learning and other credit options

We recognize you have a wealth of skills and knowledge gained through life, work and experiences in your community. That’s why we offer opportunities to earn academic credit for the knowledge you already possess.

Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) is academic credit awarded to students who successfully demonstrate college-level learning achieved through informal or formal learning outside of the classroom. You can have your learning evaluated for academic credit, saving you time and money towards earning your degree or certificate.

Contact your advisor to learn more about your options and if you qualify.

Credit for prior learning cannot be awarded for a course already taken. Refer to this list of courses that are NOT eligible for Credit for Prior Learning
