High School Connections Registration

Get Started - Apply to CCC

All High School Connections programs require students to apply to CCC to create a student account. Once you have applied to CCC, you will receive an email with your myClackamas username, password, and CCC student ID number. Be sure to keep this information! You will need it to register for your college courses, check grades and eventually request transcripts. If you are unsure if you already have a CCC account or if you have forgotten your CCC login information, please email hsconnections@clackamas.edu. We are here to help!

Advanced College Credit (ACC) Registration

ACC classes are college courses offered at your high school and taught by approved high school instructors. To earn college credit, students must register through Clackamas Community College (CCC) during designated registration periods while taking the class. ACC courses cost $10 per college credit, billed directly to the student. Fee waivers are available for students who qualify.

Before registering, all ACC students should read the ACC Student Handbook to learn about program expectations and responsibilities. Students should also check for any course prerequisite classes that must be completed before enrolling in a specific course. Prerequisite information can be found in the high school course catalog, by speaking with a high school counselor, or by reviewing CCC Course Descriptions.

How to Register for ACC classes

Once you have an account with CCC, you will need to log into Self-Service through myClackamas to register for your ACC class(es) during the appropriate registration period.

Step 1: Make sure you have a CCC account
If you don’t have a Clackamas Community College (CCC) account yet, apply at least one week before registration ends. It usually takes 1–2 days to get your CCC email and login info. If you are unsure if you already have an account with CCC, email hsconnections@clackamas.edu.

Step 2: Log in to Self-Service
Go to my.clackamas.edu and log in with your CCC student email and password.

Step 3: Access Self-Service (CCC’s Registration System)
In the left menu bar in myClackamas, click “Classes”, then “Class Registration” to be taken to Self-Service. Click ‘Course Catalog’ from the Self-Service options.

Step 4: Search for the classes at your High School
In the Course Catalog, fill in only the Term and Location (select your high school) boxes. Then click Search to see all ACC classes at your high school. IMPORTANT: Leave all other fields BLANK!

Step 5: Add Your Class Sections to your Schedule
Find your course (For example, SPN-101), click “View Available Sections,” and find the section with your teacher’s name. Click “Add Section to Schedule.” DO NOT CLICK ADD COURSE TO PLAN! After clicking Add Section to Schedule, a window will pop up with additional section details. Click ‘Add Section’

Step 6: Register for your classes
When all your classes are added, return to the Home screen by clicking the house icon on the left side bar. Click the blue “Register Now” bar on the home page of Self-Service. A window will appear asking for final registration confirmation. Select the courses you want to register for and click the blue Register button. This will register you for your courses. The registration generates a $10 per credit balance on your CCC account.

Step 7: Pay your ACC Fee Balance Online
Return to the Self-Service Home Screen by clicking the house icon on the left side bar. In Self-Service, click ‘Student Finance’ from the Self-Service options. Click on the blue Continue to Payment Center button to be taken to the online Touchnet payment system. Once in the Payment system, click the green ‘Make a Payment’ button and follow the prompts to enter payment information online.

High School Students Taking General Classes at CCC

High school students are welcome to take classes online or on campus at CCC! Students without a high school diploma or GED are not eligible for federal financial aid and will be billed for full tuition and fees. Students can register independently, just like traditional college students, if they plan on paying for their course(s) on their own. If the high school or district will cover the cost through the Expanded Options program, students must speak with their high school counselor before registering. Some schools also require meeting with a High School Connections advisor at CCC to complete additional paperwork.

If students are planning to have college credit earned at CCC transferred back to their high school for high school credit, it is recommended to confirm with the high school that any college credit will be accepted for reverse transfer before registering. High school students are encouraged to schedule an advising appointment with a High School Connections advisor to choose classes and plan how college courses can fit into future goals.

Students under 16 may enroll in CCC courses outside of High School Connections programs if they demonstrate the appropriate physical, emotional, and intellectual readiness. Placement at the correct academic level and instructor approval are required. Instructor approval can be requested by completing the Under 16 Enrollment Form. Students who will turn 16 by the first day of the term do not need to complete this form.

High school students are encouraged to follow the Getting Started Steps for High School Students Taking College Classes as well as reaching out to hsconnections@clackamas.edu if any support is needed in getting started taking classes at CCC – we are here to help!

CCC FERPA Policy

CCC staff cannot release student information to parents or guardians without signed permission from students. Students may release information by submitting a FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) form online. This allows the person/people specified on the form to communicate with CCC on a student's behalf.
