New Student Advising

New Student Advising (NSA) is a small group advising session designed to help you choose and register for your first term classes. NSAs are held at the Oregon City campus prior to the start of fall, winter, and spring term. All new students should attend an NSA before their first term at CCC. If you are transferring to CCC from another college, you do not need to attend an NSA; submit your official transcripts for evaluation and drop in to meet with an Academic Advisor at any of our three campuses.

Topics covered during a New Student Advising session:

  • Understanding degree/certificate requirements
  • Choosing classes for your first term
  • How to register for classes
  • How to access resources on-campus
  • Next steps after registration
