CCC Wilsonville Hosts Student Energy and Utility Showcase

WILSONVILLE - Clackamas Community College in Wilsonville will host the Student Energy and Utility Showcase on Saturday, June 7. The showcase will feature various aspects of the utility industry from operations to sustainability.

CCC's Wilsonville campus offers general education courses and is also home to the college's Energy & Resource Management (ERM), Utility Workforce Readiness and Utility Trades Preparation: Lineworker programs.

During the Student Energy and Utility Showcase, students in the Renewable Energy Technology (RET) program will present their capstone projects, and ERM students will discuss hot topics in fossil fuels that face the industry. In addition, students in the Utility Workforce Readiness and Utility Trades Preparation: Lineworker certificate programs will demonstrate hands-on skills and the use of various types of heavy equipment.

The Student Energy and Utility Showcase begins at 8 a.m. and concludes around 11:30 a.m. This event is open to the public, and there is no cost to attend.

CRT’s Breakaway Series Presents ‘The Call’

Metro Grant Supports Student Transportation Options

Clackamas Community College will share in $2.1 million in federal grant awards from Metro aimed at making it easier for area residents to walk, bike, take transit and share rides. CCC will receive $85,000 from the Regional Travel Options grant to support the Student Transportation Initiative that will help students find new transportation options to get to class. Full Story

The Tablao de Rosas flamenco group will perform at Clackamas Community College on Wednesday, March 4, at noon in the Gregory Forum. The performance is free and open to the public.  Full Story
