• Wilderness Classes

    Welcome! Clackamas Community College is proud to offer a new 12-credit Certificate of Completion in Wilderness Survival. This certificate is comprised of the six wilderness survival classes listed below. The classes are open to anyone and do not have to be taken in sequence.

    You will find times and dates listed under Fire Science in the CCC Schedule of Classes 

    • FRP 243-Survivor I: Map Compass, GPS (2 credits)
    • FRP-244 Survivor II: Wilderness (2 credits)
    • FRP-245 Survivor III: Weather of the Northwest (2 credits)
    • FRP-246 Survivor IV: Wilderness First Aid (2 credits)
    • FRP-247 Survivor V: Dangerous Animals (2 credits)
    • FRP-248 Survivor VI: Intro. to Search and Rescue (2 credits)

Clackamas Community College is a partner in a $24 million research and training grant awarded this week to Portland State University.
