CCC Honors Our VeteransSummer offers a great opportunity to earn college credits in a concentrated format. Whether you are starting college, home from university, or taking courses for personal growth, summer classes can give you a jump start on your educational goals. At Clackamas Community College, we provide vital services to our military veterans and their families. This spring thousands of Oregon National Guard members will return from overseas deployment. Reports indicate that 51 percent of these returning servicemen and women are unemployed. Many community partners are working together to make sure our veterans find success on the home front. CCC is joining with the Oregon National Guard, Clackamas County, Worksource Oregon, and Hire Oregon Vets to present the Yellow Ribbon Career and Benefits Fair on Saturday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CCC’s Oregon City campus. Veterans of all eras, as well as military family members, are invited to attend this special event that brings together dozens of military-friendly employers and service providers in one location. Many of our college programs will be on hand to share education and training opportunities at CCC with our veterans. At Clackamas, our mission is responding to the changing needs of our community. Our veterans and their families are important members of our community, and we are proud to serve them. |
