• Fire Science (Wildland) Program

    The CCC Fire Science (Wildland) program provides training that can lead to seasonal or permanent employment with state, federal, and private contract firefighting or within the timber industry. There are many career tracks in the field of wildland firefighting and forestry. It's exciting work that requires fundamental survival, safety and firefighting skills.

    Clackamas Community College is certified as an authorized wildland firefighting training site by the Pacific Northwest Wildfire Coordinating Group and the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG). Many of the courses carry NWCG and DPSST certification as well as college credit.

    Our instructors are highly qualified. Our program instructors are certified by the NWCG and the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST), and offer 15-40 years of wildland firefighting experience.

    CCC offers career pathways and a one-year certificate of completion in Wildland Fire. We also offer a career pathway in Forestry and Wilderness Survival.

Bond Citizen Oversight Committee to Meet

The initial meeting of the Bond Projects Citizen Oversight Committee will take place on Wednesday, April 22, at Clackamas Community College. The committee will provide oversight to the implementation of ballot measure 3-447, approved by voters in November.  Full Story

Board Resolution Authorizes Bond Sale

The Board of Education at its April meeting passed a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of general obligation bonds to finance capital construction at Clackamas Community College. Voters in the district in November approved a $90 million bond measure to update and modernize college facilities. Full Story
