Multicultural Center

The Multicultural Center (MCC) provides opportunities for students to learn about, honor, and embrace their histories, lives, and whole self. We achieve this by providing a physical space in the Wacheno Welcome Center on the Oregon City campus, supporting identity-based clubs, offering leadership opportunities in the MCC, and hosting social and educational events.

We hope that during your time at Clackamas Community College you are able to find community and achieve your educational goals. We are eager to learn how we can best support you within the Multicultural Center, whether that’s learning more about yourself, finding common ground through shared identities, or developing your leadership skills. We look forward to seeing you at either in the Center or at one of our events!

Club Meeting Schedules

Student clubs typically do not meet during the summer term. Check back in late September for meeting days, times and locations.

    Día de los Muertos

    Thursday, Oct. 30, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Wacheno Mall and Harmony Resource Center, HW 140

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a predominantly Mexican holiday that welcomes loved ones who have died back to the land of the living. The Multicultural Center wants to honor this holiday tradition with you! From Monday, Oct. 27 to Monday, Nov. 3, we’ll have altar displays on all three campuses. Then, on Thursday, October 30, we will celebrate Día de los Muertos with events at the Harmony and Oregon City campuses. We’ll paint sugar skulls on rocks, handmake marigold flowers and socialize with each other with light refreshments. We hope to see you participate in one, if not both events! Please email mcambassadors@clackamas.edu if you have any questions.

Check back here in September for our fall program schedule!
