Financial Aid + Scholarships

• Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
• Have a valid Social Security Number (except for applicants from Micronesia, Marshall Islands and Palau)
• Be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible degree or certificate program
• Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
• Not be in default on a federal student loan nor owe a repayment on a federal student grant
• Have a high school diploma, GED certificate or have completed a high school education in a homeschool setting
• Be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits), in degree applicable credits for loans
  

• Oregon residents who have undocumented status, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, and/or Temporary Protected Status (TPS)
• Be enrolled as a regular student in an eligible degree or certificate program
• Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
• Not be in default on a federal student loan nor owe a repayment on a federal student grant
• Have a high school diploma, GED certificate or have completed a high school education in a homeschool setting
• Be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits), in degree applicable credits

To access financial aid:

1. Submit all requested documents listed in Self Service
2. Watch your student email and Self Service for award offer notification
3. Review your award offer. Accept or decline any direct loans offered to you. If accepting loans, complete a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling. Any financial aid offered is split evenly among all terms of attendance. All award offers are based on full-time (12 credits) status.
4. Financial aid is disbursed during the third week of each term, following the census date, and then weekly thereafter. Your aid will be adjusted to your enrollment level as of the census date. The actual amount of aid you will receive will be based on the number of degree applicable credits you are enrolled in as of that date. Funds will first be applied to your account to cover any tuition balance.

To be eligible for financial aid disbursement you must:

• Have completed your FAFSA/ORSAA application
• Grants and Scholarships are automatically accepted on your behalf (beware of any minimum credit requirements for your specific funding)
• For Direct Loans:
  • Have accepted Direct loans (if applicable)
  • Have complete Entrance Counseling
  • Have a valid Master Promissory Note (MPN)
  • Be registered for six (6) or more degree applicable credits

If your financial aid is more than the amount of your tuition and fees, Accounts Receivable will send the excess amount to you in the form of a check or direct deposit. Excess financial aid funds are sent out on the last business day of the week. For fall, winter and spring terms, refunds are sent out on Fridays. For summer term, the refunds are sent out on Thursdays. You can sign up to receive the excess funds via direct deposit, otherwise a check will be mailed to the address you have on file with the college.

The Financial Aid Office will disburse once weekly throughout the term and refund checks or direct deposit refunds will be made the last business day of the week in which the funds are disbursed on your account.

Direct Costs:

Tuition & Fees Calculations (full time calculation at 15 credits a term)
Tuition: $130 per credit x 15 credits = $1,950.00 tuition only
Fees: $13.00 per credit x 15 credits = $195.00
General Fee: $30 per term
Books - This is an average amount a student might spend on books and supplies.
Transportation - Transportation is for gas/fuel, insurance and maintenance of a vehicle, or alternative commuting costs such as bus pass or fare.
Personal - This is an estimate of what a student might spend on personal items, clothing, recreation and travel.

Indirect Costs:

Living Expenses - CCC is considered a commuter campus. Living Expenses are based on the median cost of an apartment located within Clackamas County, as well as utilities and food based on national averages for students. Documentation will be required if a student believes that their costs exceed the budget estimation.
