Integrated pest management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    June 9 insecticide application (Oregon City)

    On June 9 at approximately 3:30 p.m., staff will be applying the insecticide Advion Ant Gel, EPA #100-1501, to eliminate pests at the main entrance of Randall Hall on the Oregon City campus. This information is also noted on signage posted at the building entrance 24 hours prior to treatment. Applicator contact: Western Exterminator, 360-553-2799.
