Integrated pest management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    Weed control Sept. 17-Oct. 17 (all campuses)

    We will be using Ranger-Pro EPA# 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in the bed areas of the Harmony Wilsonville and Oregon City campuses 9/17-10/17 2026. Signage will be posted in the areas to be treated 24 hours prior, treatments will be completed between 6 a.m.-2 p.m. re-entry when dry.

    Weed control Oct. 12-Nov. 12 (all campuses)

    We will be using Ranger Pro EPA# 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in the bed areas on the Oregon City, Wilsonville and Harmony campuses October12th - November 12th. Signage will be posted in the areas to be treated 24 hours prior to the treatments. Treatments will be made between 7a.m.-2 p.m.

    We will be using SpeedZone EPA# 62719-833 to control Broadleaf weeds in the turf areas on the OregonCity, Wilsonville and Harmony campuses starting October 12th - November 12th as weather allows. Signage will be posted in the areas we are actively spraying 24 hours prior to treatments. Treatments will be between 5 a.m.-2 p.m. re-entry when dry.

    We will be applying the following at Home Orchard Education Center 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 26th - Nov. 25th:
    Kocide 3000 (caution); EPA Reg #: 91411-2-70051; REI: 48 hours
    OMNI Supreme (caution); EPA Reg #: 5905-368; REI: 12 hours
