Integrated pest management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    July 13-Aug. 13 weed control application (all campuses)

    We will be using Ranger Pro EPA# 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in the bed areas on the Oregon city, Wilsonville and Harmony campuses July 13-Aug. 13. Signage will be posted 24 hours prior in the areas we will be spraying. Applications will be made between 5 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Re-entry when dry.

    July 27-Aug. 21 fungicide application (Home Orchard Education Center)

    Spray applications will take place at the Home Orchard Education Center orchard between July 27 and Aug. 21 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
