Integrated Pest Management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    To Aug 20

    Fungicide application July 21 to Aug. 20 at the Home Orchard Education Center (Oregon City campus)

    Spray applications of Cyd-X (caution) EPA # 70051-44 and Surround (caution) EPA # 61842-18 will take place between July 21and Aug. 20 between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Re-entry after 4 hours.

    To Sep 25

    Weed control application Aug. 25 - Sept. 25 (Oregon City, Wilsonville and Harmony campuses)

    We will be using Ranger Pro EPA # 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in bed areas of the Oregon City, Wilsonville and Harmony campuses Aug. 25 to Sept. 25 between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m.. We will post signage in the areas to be treated 24 hours prior to the applications. Re-entry when dry.
