Integrated Pest Management

Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.

The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.

    Jan. 30 - Feb. 28 Pesticide Application (Oregon City/Wilsonville/Harmony)

    We will be using Ranger-Pro EPA# 524-517 to control weeds and grasses on the Harmony, Wilsonville and Oregon City campuses Jan. 30-Feb. 28. We will post signage in the areas to be treated 24 hours prior to application. Re-entry when dry.

    Jan. 14 - March 31 Fungicide application at the Home Orchard Education Center (Oregon City)

    Fungicide applications will take place at the Home Orchard Education Center from Jan. 14 through March 31, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Products in use include Kocide 3000 (caution), EPA Reg. No. 91411-2-70051, REI: 48 hours, and OMNI Supreme (caution), EPA Reg. No. 5905-368, REI: 12 hours.
