The Development of an Art Practice Opens in the Alexander Gallery

OREGON CITY - Clackamas Community College will host a Portland State University Art Practices thesis exhibition by CCC alumni Justin Taylor through Dec. 6 in the Alexander Gallery.

In "The Development of an Art Practice" Taylor explores the process of "making" and showcases a series of acrylic and mixed media paintings. He uses a multilayered technique of paint on drawn surfaces that explore portraiture and references nature.

Taylor's exhibit is divided into two unique spaces, the first showcases finalized works and the second uses the space for creating. Taylor will be making artwork in the gallery and talk to viewers about his process Nov. 25 and 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

This exhibition is free and open to the public. The Alexander Gallery is located in the Niemeyer Center on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave., and is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., except for campus closures.
