OREGON CITY - High school and college-bound musicians are invited to band camp at Clackamas Community College for a week of instrumental instruction, rehearsals and performances.

Students will learn from renowned Portland-area musicians in a comfortable college campus setting, with plenty of rehearsal time. Camp runs July 11-15, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with a Friday evening concert.

"Band Camp is perfect for instrumental musicians of all levels who want to improve their skills, play fun and challenging wind ensemble repertoire and learn about music theory," CCC Instrumental Music Director Lars Campbell said.

Registration is open to students entering grades 9-13 with at least two years of experience in a school ensemble. Students who play the flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, double bass, piano or percussion are welcome to attend.

The cost is $300. Lunch is available for purchase. Sibling discounts and need-based scholarships may be available. To register, visit clackamasmusic.eventbrite.com. The deadline to register is July 1, and spots are limited. Don't see your instrument on the list? Let us know.

The camp will be held at Clackamas Community College in the Niemeyer Center for Performing Arts, 19600 Molalla Ave., Oregon City. For questions, contact Ami Collofello at ami.collofello@clackamas.edu.
