The Alexander Gallery presents "Erik Geschke: Selected Works," a survey of sculptures spanning 15 years of making. This exhibition runs Jan. 8-Feb. 2. An artist reception will be held Thursday, Jan. 18, noon-1 p.m., and the artist will speak about his work at 1 p.m.

In "Erik Geschke: Selected Works," Vancouver-based artist Erik Geschke presents large-scale cast and mixed-media structures, forms and surfaces that explore personal and social narratives informed by art history, political propaganda and popular culture.

Geschke is a professor of art and coordinator of the sculpture area in the School of Art and Design at Portland State University. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including the UCLA Hammer Museum of Art and FIAC Contemporary Art Fair in Paris, and supported by the Seattle Arts Commission, Oregon Arts Commission and Ford Family Foundation.

The Alexander Gallery is located in the Niemeyer Center on the Oregon City campus, 19600 Molalla Ave., and is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with the exception of college holidays.
